MORE You've managed. You've adapted. You've found workarounds nobody taught you. But somewhere underneath that, there's a nagging sense that life takes more effort than it should — and you're tired of not knowing why. This assessment isn't about labelling what's wrong with you. It's about finally understanding how your mind actually works.

A practical, rigorous assessment for adults who want clear answers about possible ADHD. Covers attention, impulse control, executive functioning, and a comprehensive differential — so you leave knowing not just whether ADHD is present, but what is and is not driving your difficulties.

Important: ADHD symptoms can overlap with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma exposure, and sleep or medical issues. This program uses multiple measures to reduce the risk of misdiagnosis and to ensure conclusions are clinically sound.

What This Assessment Evaluates

  • Core ADHD symptoms (inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity)
  • Symptom history from childhood through adulthood
  • Current emotional functioning (mood, anxiety, stress)
  • Executive functioning (planning, organization, self‑regulation)
  • Functional impact on work, relationships, and daily life

Assessment Components

Clinical Interview

A structured clinical interview reviews developmental history, current concerns, symptom onset, and real‑world impact. This forms the backbone of the assessment and allows results from questionnaires to be interpreted in context.

DIVA‑5 (Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults)

A gold‑standard, structured interview aligned with DSM‑5 criteria. It evaluates both childhood and adult ADHD symptoms and how they show up across different areas of life.

CAARS‑2 (Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scales)

A standardized questionnaire measuring ADHD symptoms and related features in adults. It helps quantify symptom severity and compare results to age‑based norms.

BRIEF‑A / BRIEF‑2A (Executive Functioning)

Assesses everyday executive functioning such as organization, working memory, emotional control, and task completion—areas commonly affected in ADHD.

WACS (Weiss ADHD Comorbidity Scale)

Screens for conditions that frequently co‑occur with ADHD, such as anxiety, mood difficulties, and emotional dysregulation, to support accurate interpretation.

WFIRS‑S (Weiss Functional Impairment Rating Scale)

Evaluates how symptoms affect functioning across work, school, family life, self‑concept, and daily responsibilities.

Symptom and Well‑Being Measures

  • PHQ‑9 – depressive symptoms
  • GAD‑7 – anxiety symptoms
  • BECK – emotional distress profile
  • PROMIS Mental Health Scales – broader mental health functioning

Background and Context Measures

  • ACES – early life stressors (contextual, not diagnostic)
  • CATA (Conners Continuous Auditory Test of Attention) – a computerized, auditory attention task that looks at sustained attention and response control using sound‑based cues (supporting data only)
  • CPT‑3 – computerized attention and response control task (used as supporting data only)

How Results Are Used

All data are integrated rather than interpreted in isolation. Diagnostic conclusions are made only when criteria are clearly met and supported across history, interview findings, and standardized measures.

  • If ADHD criteria are met, this is clearly documented
  • If criteria are partially met, results are explained transparently
  • Alternative or contributing factors are discussed when relevant

Feedback & Next Steps

A feedback session is included to review results in plain language. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, clarify findings, and discuss practical recommendations.

  • Clear explanation of results
  • Individualized recommendations (work, daily life, supports)
  • Written report suitable for personal records and third‑party use when appropriate

Your Time Investment at a Glance

  • At-home preparation~ 2.5 – 3.5 hrs
  • In-clinic appointment time~ 3 hrs (across appointments)
  • Written report delivery~ 3 – 5 weeks from final session
